DESCRIPTION:

This filter will generate ascii art from the preview image. Ascii Art is a graphic design technique that consists of pictures pieced together from the 95 printable (from a total of 128) characters defined by the ASCII Standard. Pixel luminance values are analyzed in the image and then converted to a specific character that represents the shade based on character pixel density. This filter uses ten characters for its algorithm, hereby displayed from darkest to brightest: "@#%*=+:-. "

Scale: This slider scales the ascii image down to 1:X size. This is useful since ascii images tend to be visibly larger due to their representation through characters instead of pixels.

Every Single Line: This drop-down specifies whether to process each or every other line. This is useful since ascii images tend to seem vertically stretched due to text line height.

Include Header: This button specifies whether or not to include filter information in the file header.

Invert: The button specifies whether or not to invert the ascii image file.

Display File: The button displays the ascii image file if it has been created.

Fit: Fits the entire image in the preview window.

Help: Displays this help information.

Reset: This option resets all variables to their default values.
